The winter brings the cold and, with the cold, comes dry skin. I have normal to combination skin, but I very often find myself seeking out some extra moisture during the winter months. This past month I’ve been using some new and holy grail products to keep my skin hydrated through the bitter cold. If you’re suffering from dry skin, look no further.
Here are 5 skincare products to beat winter dry skin:
Garnier SkinActive Rose Water Milk Cleanser: I’ve tried out quite a few products from Garnier SkinActive’s vegan line and have been loving them. After using the rose water day and night cream from this line, I decided to try out the cleanser. I heard mixed reviews about the thickness of the formula, but I find it to be very moisturizing without leaving any residue or greasiness. It cleans well and leaves my face feeling very soft. This product works best when applied to dry skin, so do not wet your face before. It is also not great at removing makeup, so I recommend using a makeup remover beforehand, like the Garnier SkinActive Rose Micellar Water.
Garnier SkinActive Glow Scrub/Mask: You might be wondering what a scrub has to do with dry skin, but trust me on this one. Often times, when your skin is dry, you need a gentle exfoliator to remove some of the dead or dry skin. I’ve been using this glow scrub since the summer months and I find that it is very gentle, even on sensitive skin, and it leave my face glowing after each use.
Garnier SkinActive Rose Water Moisturizing Day/Night Cream: I promise that this post is not sponsored. I truly have had great luck with Garnier SkinActive’s line of products and I try to stick to one brand of skincare products, if I can. As someone with normal to combination skin, I get oily in my t-zone, which made me very picky about face moisturizers. I didn’t want anything that would make my skin feel or look greasy. I often skipped moisturizers altogether, which left my skin seeking hydration. I was drawn to this products pink packaging and the rose water scent, so I decided to give it a try. I was surprised that such a thick, creamy formula left no greasy residue. I apply a small amount to my skin and it easily absorbs, leaving my face soft and hydrated.
ColourPop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer: I had heard so many good reviews about this line of skincare products from Colourpop, featuring hyaluronic acid. I am not one to love foundations. I often feel like they are too heavy on my face, so instead, I opt for tinted moisturizers. This one features not only the hydrating properties of hyaluronic acid, but also the natural hydration of coconut water. It is a very lightweight formula, with buildable coverage for every day use. The only thing I wish this product featured is sunscreen, so I recommend finding applying one beforehand.
Bath and BodyWorks Into the Night Moisturizer: My holy grail body moisturizers will always be Bath and Bodyworks. They are hydrating, easy to apply, smell great, and last all day. Their newest formula features shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E. This particular scent “Into the Night” features notes of raspberry noir, amber crystals, velvety rose petals, creamy patchouli, and mocha musk. You can smell amazing and feel moisturized all day long!
I hope some of these products can help you defeat the winter dryness. Leave in the comments below some of your holy grail skincare products.
